Price Disclosure Reporting

Each year, Ohio’s hospitals must submit an Inpatient and Outpatient Price Disclosure Report to the Ohio Department of Health.

The report must list the 60 most frequent Diagnosis Related Groups for all payer cases and the 60 most frequently treated Primary Procedures. The report must contain the number of discharges, number of primary procedures, average charge and length of stay. Data must be reported on a severity-adjusted basis using the ODH-required Refined Group DRG system.

Per the criteria specified by the state health department, OHA is authorized to produce the Inpatient and Outpatient Price Disclosure Reports on behalf of hospitals participating in OHA’s data program using discharges from the previous calendar year.

Hospitals that would like OHA to complete and submit to ODH the 2016 Annual Price Disclosure Report on their behalf must:

  1. Be a member in good standing of the Ohio Hospital Association's data program.
  2. Submit and sign off on all data for the year by March 15.
