This series will assist OHA member hospitals with implementing and complying with the new federal rule governing the ability of health information systems to work together within and across organizational boundaries. The rules aim to ensure that every American can, without special effort or advanced technical skills, see, obtain and use all electronically available information that is relevant to his or her health and care.
