Clinical - HIIN
4/10/19 1 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.

Between one-third and one-half of sepsis patients, arrive to the Emergency Department via Emergency Medical Services. Sepsis recognition and treatment of those patients in the prehospital setting, may directly affect care in the Emergency Department and overall patient outcomes.

Presented in partnership with Sepsis Alliance, Join Lynn Babcock, MD, and Kathleen Brown, MD, as they share how pediatric patients can be integrated into prehospital care for sepsis through the development of a sepsis protocol and prehospital screening tool. Learn how EMS strategies to target sepsis recognition, can improve timeliness of care and be an effective approach to identifying and rapidly treating the early stages of sepsis.
