Physician Leadership Forum: Cultural Humility - Part 2

Hospital Management

7 - 8 a.m.

During the second session, leaders will examine the impact of cognitive biases on judgement. This session will focus on three heuristics: availability bias (decisions made based on knowledge that is readily available in our minds), representative bias (employs the use of past experiences to guide decision-making) and confirmation bias (the tendency to search for, interpret, favor and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs).
