Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine today addressed the COVID-19 pandemic facing the state. OHA President and CEO Mike Abrams offers this statement:

“The Ohio Hospital Association stands with Gov. DeWine in his efforts to ensure the health and safety of our state. We appreciate those who are taking the appropriate steps to be courteous, respectful and mindful of the severity of COVID-19, and we join the governor’s plea for all Ohioans to take collective responsibility in protecting each other. Ohio hospitals have been battling on the front lines of this war on COVID-19 for five months. During this time, we’ve learned more about the incredible power of steps we can all deploy – wear a mask, keep your distance and wash your hands. The recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Ohio is alarming. Lives continue to be at risk when proper precautions and preventive measures are ignored. People will continue to die if we do not respect this global pandemic by doing the things we all know we must do to save lives.”
