The Christ Hospital Health Network President & CEO Joins OHA Board of Trustees

Columbus, Ohio - 43215. The Ohio Hospital Association Board of Trustees appointed Arturo Polizzi (Cincinnati), president and CEO, The Christ Hospital Health Network, to fill a vacant seat as at-large trustee of the board with a term ending Dec. 31, 2020.

“Arturo is an active leader with a keen perspective on health care policy and will provide valuable expertise to OHA and our board,” said Mike Abrams, president and CEO, OHA. “We appreciate this opportunity to have him on our board to support our mission to collaborate for a healthy Ohio.”

Polizzi joined The Christ Hospital Health Network, a regional health care system with an acute care hospital surrounded by six ambulatory medical centers throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, as president and CEO in 2018. Prior to joining The Christ Hospital, he worked for ProMedica Health System, Inc. in Toledo for 20 years. During that time, he held positions as associate general counsel, chief human resources officer, president of ProMedica Toledo Hospital & Toledo Children’s Hospital and ProMedica Metro Region Acute Care.

Polizzi earned his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Miami University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Since moving to Cincinnati, he became a member of the American Heart Association, Cincinnati Regional Business Committee and The Health Collaborative. He and his wife, Kristen, have three children, two daughters and a son.

The OHA Board of Trustees sets policy and strategic direction for matters affecting hospitals throughout Ohio. The board includes representatives from small and large hospitals, urban and rural hospitals, teaching facilities and independent facilities and health care systems. The board consists of four officers, the OHA president and CEO and 15 trustees-at-large.
