AHA to Host Webinar Dedicated to Amplifying the Voices of Mothers

Maternal deaths in the U.S. are on the rise and childbirth is more dangerous for communities of color who are disproportionately impacted by maternal mortality and morbidity. In honor of Black Maternal Health Week and National Minority Health Month the American Hospital Association and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership along with leaders from UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital, Advocate Sherman Hospital, March of Dimes, Ancient Song Doula Services, Changing Women Initiative will host a discussion to identify and address inequities in maternal care, empower women of color and create solutions to improve maternal health equity.
