The Ohio Department of Health as part of its Comprehensive Cancer Control Program has released a new resource with statistics and facts around Leukemia in Ohio as of July 2021. In 2019, 990 deaths from leukemia occurred in Ohio. The percentage of Ohioans with leukemia who survive at least five years is: 61% for all ages and 86% among children and adolescents. ODH’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program works to raise awareness around cancer in the state by preventing it, finding it early, treating it and caring for those who have it.
