OHA is thrilled to announce that the Ohio Society for Health Care Facilities Management, or OSHFM, in partnership with OHA’s Energy & Sustainability Program, has been recognized as the recipient of the Large Category Energy to Care 2022 Chapter Challenge Award.
Through the Energy to Care Program, ASHE affiliated chapters can participate in a challenge, competing to demonstrate the highest reductions in energy consumption. This is OSHFM’s first sole victory of the award. OSHFM was previously recognized in 2020 under the same category, along with the California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Incorporated.
The Energy to Care Program participation has seen consistent growth since its inception in 2006. Participation has grown to more than 3,600 facilities since 2010, and in the entire life of the program, health care facilities have seen a combined savings of over $550 million dollars reallocated to patient care. Seventeen ASHE affiliated chapters participated in the Energy to Care 2022 Chapter Challenge. ASHE recognized each of the recipients of the 2022 Chapter Challenge at last week’s ASHE 2022 Annual Conference in Boston, MA. Read the full press release here.
