October is National Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Month

President Joe Biden Sept. 30 proclaimed Oct. 2022 as National Youth Substance Use Prevention Month. The administration will be supporting organizations to educate the youth about dangers of drug and alcohol use. To read more of the proclamation click here.

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network released resources for parents and caregivers, children and teens, mental health providers, child welfare workers, law enforcement professionals, educators and school staff and policy makers. The resources include resource guides, fact sheets, webinars, an e-Learning course and a website to help prevent and aid children with substance abuse. To obtain these resources click here.
