Rural Health Care University Announces 2 November Webinars

The National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health Care University webinar series provides information and resources that address the unique challenges that face rural health care leadership. The next webinar, noon-12:45 p.m., Nov. 6 will focus on real issues in rural medicine: aligning management of functional bowel disorders. The webinar will cover communication with patients about sensitive GI concerns, diagnosing and treating IBS without a gastroenterology specialist, amongst other topics. The second webinar, 3-4 p.m., Nov. 14 will focus on the CORE transitional care program that will launch in March 2020. The webinar will give participants an understanding of the value of developing high-quality post-acute transitional care in critical access hospitals in response to a growing patient population and demands and challenges, along with learning how transitional care is an effective way to incorporate population health, chronic disease management, and wellness.
