SAMHSA Releases Report Detailing Effects of Long COVID on Behavioral Health

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration this week released Overview of the Impacts of Long COVID on Behavioral Health. The report addresses the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on behavioral health, particularly the psychiatric symptoms linked with Long COVID, possible long-term implications, and prospective paths for recovery. This study also emphasizes the difficulties faced by behavioral health care experts in caring for and supporting patients with Long COVID while focusing especially on health equality and equitable access to care for all populations.
