As part of September's Sepsis Awareness Month recognition, The Global Sepsis Alliance declared today World Sepsis Day. The Ohio Hospital Association collaborates with providers across the state to leverage September as Sepsis Awareness Month to increase early recognition and early intervention of sepsis, which affects more than 41,000 Ohioans each year.
A webinar, “The Impact of Health Literacy Upon Sepsis Mortality,” led by Karen Komondor from St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 18. Register here.
The OHA Board of Trustees identified reducing sepsis mortality in Ohio as one of the key focus areas for OHA and Ohio hospitals.
