Emma Cardone
Director of Advocacy
Emma supports OHA’s federal and state advocacy and government relations activities. She directly lobbies the Ohio General Assembly and Ohio’s executive branch on behalf of Ohio hospitals, as well as leading OHA’s federal relations in collaboration with the American Hospital Association. Emma started her career in a public affairs for a government relations firm in Dayton working with clients such as Dayton Children’s and Kettering Health Network. She then went on to join the DeWine Husted Administration in January 2019, where she served through the Governor’s first term in various roles including legislative liaison at the Department of Medicaid, the Governor’s legislative liaison for education and workforce, and as the Governor’s Director for Coalitions and Stakeholder Relations. She was raised in Chicago and graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Political Science.
