Insight is a web-based application, which allows users to create customizable analyses based on encounter-level data submitted by OHA Data Program Members.

Insight was created to meet the needs of our member hospitals’ planning departments, business service line managers, finance professionals, executives and health care quality leaders. Insight is built to allow variable views tailored to each user. Insight delivers access to crucial information regarding inpatient, outpatient and emergency room data.

Insight allows data program participants to create reports and download data by time frames and market definitions, including:

• Inpatient market analysis sorted by hospital, zip code, product line and/or payer
• Inpatient market needs assessment sorted by product line and/or MS-DRG
• Inpatient origin by zip code
• Revenue opportunities analyses for your hospital sorted by MS-DRG, LOS, product line, payer, and/or attending physicians
• Top 50 reasons for inpatient and/or outpatient visits to any given hospital by diagnosis code
• Top 50 reasons for ER visits to any given hospital

Data Release Policy

Ohio Hospital Association data is proprietary to the hospitals participating in the OHA data program. OHA has entered into agreements with participating hospitals to protect the privacy of this data. Data can only be accessed, requested or received by an employee of a participating hospital.
