Facilities Management Award

The Ohio Society for Health Care Facilities Management's Eagle Award recognizes a facility manager or staff member who has demonstrated outstanding performance, leadership, unique service or significant contributions in energy efficiency, health care facilities management, plant engineering, design/construction, security, safety, clinical engineering and/or telecommunications.

2019 Eagle Award Winners

The Ohio Society for Health Care Facilities Management honored two facilities leaders with the Eagle Award during the group's annual meeting Sept. 12.

Congratulations to the 2019 Eagle Award Recipients:

  • Nick Bagnolo, administrative director of Support Services Mercy Medical Center Canton and vice president of Construction and Facilities for the Sisters of Charity Health System

  • Matthew Cockerill, Operations Manager/Director in the Engineering Department at Nationwide Children's Hospital

2018: Danny McCloud, director of Facilities Management, Kettering Medical Center

2017: Wes Dounda, maintenance supervisor, Barnesville Hospital and Kent Behrman, director of Facilities, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s 

2016: Wayne Eckert, senior director of Facilities Engineering and Operations, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

2015: Dave Recker, Facility Operations manager, Mercy Health — Tiffin Hospital

Eligibility

  • Must be a current member of OSHFM 
  • Must be actively employed in a position with primary responsibility related to the profession of healthcare facilities management, plant engineering, design/construction, security, safety, clinical engineering and/or telecommunications
  • Must be nominated by an OSHFM member in good standing

Selection Process and Award Presentation

Nominations are reviewed by OHA/OSHFM staff for completeness. Evaluations are conducted by the OSHFM Scholarship/Awards Committee. Decisions made by the committee are final pending approval by the OSHFM Board.

Eagle Award recipients receive a $500 cash prize and a commemorative eagle award presented by the OSHFM Board president during the opening session of the annual OSHFM Fall Conference.

Award
