Ohio Experiencing CDC’s Highest Flu Activity Level

Flu cases and hospitalizations have spiked across the state in recent weeks as Ohio has received a “very high” flu activity level from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – its highest rating. According to the most recent data from the CDC and Ohio Department of Health, confirmed influenza-associated hospitalizations in Ohio saw a 90.63% increase from the previous week. Regionally, Central Ohio leads the state with 291 flu hospitalizations, per data that ran through Feb. 1.
