Bryn Hunt
Associate General Counsel and Senior Director Employee Relations
Bryn provides legal counsel and support to the association, specifically in the areas of data and health information privacy and security, federal grant and award compliance and employment issues. One of her primary responsibilities is to ensure compliance of the statewide database with HIPAA, FISMA and other privacy and security laws. Additionally, she assists the advocacy and health economics and policy teams in reviewing and analyzing complex state and federal legislation and rules for legal impact on Ohio hospitals. Before coming to OHA, Bryn worked for five years at Bricker & Eckler as an associate focusing primarily in the areas of health information technology, health care transactions, meaningful use, health information privacy and security, and facility regulation. A native of Springfield, Ohio and a veteran of the Ohio Air National Guard, Bryn earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 2006 and received her law degree, summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School in 2009. Bryn has been named a “Rising Star” by Ohio Super Lawyers and an “Associate to Watch in Health Care Law” by ChambersUSA.
