Kate Huffman
Senior Director, Government Affairs
Kate supports OHA’s government affairs activities, lobbying the Ohio General Assembly and
executive agencies on behalf of Ohio hospitals. Kate also manages Friends of Ohio Hospitals,
OHA’s Political Action Committee and manages day-to-day operations for the Advocacy
department. Kate began her career as a Legislative Service Commission fellow and aide in the
Ohio House and Senate before working as a political fundraiser for a statewide campaign and
later as director of Regional Services at the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office. Originally from
Dayton, Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Mary’s College in Notre
Dame, Indiana.
