National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration hosts Drug Take Back Day to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. The state of Ohio collected nearly 41,000 pounds of prescription drugs during the previous Take Back Day in October 2024. Click here to find disposal sites near you.

As National Hospital Week approaches May 11-17, the American Hospital Association has released a range of digital resources for hospitals to honor their workforce and highlight community impact. This year’s theme, “We Are Health Care: Caring for patients; strengthening communities,” encourages recognition of the vital roles health care workers play. OHA encourages members to leverage AHA’s digital toolkit, social media assets and storytelling platform to showcase their team’s contributions. Hospitals can also participate by using the hashtag #WeAreHealthCare and sharing photos, videos and testimonials.
